A Vibrant Greek Mediterranean-inspired wedding...

The Best Wedding Vendors - The Little Black Book  A different take on mediterranean-inspiration for this Greek wedding reception that took place here at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum. The blue table clothes really made the centerpieces designed by Florette Designs pop and brought the feel of the Greek islands to Santa Barbara. Congratulations to the lovely couple!

Celebrating a Rustic Santa Barbara Wedding...

A rustic wedding taking place at our venue was recently featured on:

This wedding decor is a perfect example of how rustic does not have to lack in elegance. The floral arrangements by Brown Paper Design were gorgeous! Paired with the crystal clear glassware, they bring burlap to a whole new level of stature and created the look and feel of rustic wedding elegance and beauty. Succulents and Peonies were placed along the pathway leading to the alter and set the stage for a most beautiful wedding. Be sure to check out a snippet of Joel Serrato's wonderful cinematography of the event viewable here. Great job to all of the vendors involved and congratulations to the beautiful couple!!! :)

Celebrating table setting inspiration ideas...

Lovebird theme...(photos by Elizabeth Messina)
...olive branches adorn the backs of the couple's chairs while the table is set with olive and sage foliage and floral arrangements of succulent plants, peonies, roses, and hydrangeas. Tables are marked by pieces of driftwood with calligraphed italian words significant to the couple.

Shipwrecked in Santa Barbara...(photos by Elizabeth Messina, Event Design & Coordination by Cortnie Purdy of Canvas & Canopy events, Floral Design by Megan of Le Partie Events)...
...to create a shipwrecked feel, the table was decorated with a myriad of "treasures" one might collect from the ocean...bottles, shells, pearls, vintage broaches and floral arrangements of unique flowers such as  green berzelia, peach spider mums, leucadendron gold strike, kale, tulips, dahlias, amaryllis, fern, ranunculus and freesia. To further add texture to the table grasses such as sorghum broom corn, curly willow, zebra grass, pampas grass and bear grass were used.  Tying fabric in colors of the palette of peach, mint green, grey. sage and mustard into braids and then draping them over the chairs created a nautical rope look further adding to the shipwrecked theme.

Santa Barbara Wedding by Blue Magnolia Events & Beaux Arts Photographie...

A beautiful wedding reception October 9, 2011 at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum. With colors of terra cotta, purples, and greens, design inspiration stemmed from the things about Santa Barbara, the couple's hometown, that they loved as well as their recent trip to Granada, Spain. Congratulations!
