Lovebird theme...(photos by Elizabeth Messina) ...olive branches adorn the backs of the couple's chairs while the table is set with olive and sage foliage and floral arrangements of succulent plants, peonies, roses, and hydrangeas. Tables are marked by pieces of driftwood with calligraphed italian words significant to the couple.
...to create a shipwrecked feel, the table was decorated with a myriad of "treasures" one might collect from the ocean...bottles, shells, pearls, vintage broaches and floral arrangements of unique flowers such as green berzelia, peach spider mums, leucadendron gold strike, kale, tulips, dahlias, amaryllis, fern, ranunculus and freesia. To further add texture to the table grasses such as sorghum broom corn, curly willow, zebra grass, pampas grass and bear grass were used. Tying fabric in colors of the palette of peach, mint green, grey. sage and mustard into braids and then draping them over the chairs created a nautical rope look further adding to the shipwrecked theme.
