2011/2012 Wedding Gown Trends

With the conclusion of the NY Bridal Market shows in April and the Royal Wedding at the end of April it was very apparent that texture, especially lace, will be one of the biggest trends in Bridal Gowns for the upcoming 2012 season.  As seen in Kate Middleton's Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress, the lace high collar and sleeved look, to cover up an exposed decolletage for a proper Catholic wedding (gotta love dress code restrictions for Catholic Church Weddings), will surely be a hit amongst brides opting for a traditional Catholic wedding.  However, I can also see this trend being popular with brides not getting married in a Catholic church in the form of a lace bolero (small jacket) over any strapless gown.

Scalloping, ruching, lots of layers...these are what we saw on the runways in coverage of the NYC Bridal Market Shows this April.  Some of the best dresses are below....

Behind the Scenes - Bridal Photo Shoot

During our Bridal Event in March, a few of the talented ladies brainstormed about producing a Brooklyn based bridal photo shoot.

The shoot took place at Jessa Blades' beautiful Brownstone in Ft. Greene. All of our stylists were on hand to help beautify the models.

Take a look at this great behind the scenes video of the shoot...we can't wait to show you all the pictures! (Oh, and see how many TPB ladies you can spot!)
